A few noteworthy things about the tracklisting.

- Dr. Dre is producing and is featured lyricly in “Ready for War”

- Dr. Dre is producing a total of 4 tracks.

-Eminem is producing 2 tracks and is featured in 1.

-Nate Dogg is featured in track 5 “Here for a Reason”, which marks his first appearance on an album since he had 2 strokes in 2008. Akon somehow tried to replace him as the new hook master, but I’m sure Nate will come back with a vengence.

After over a year drought of Dr. Dre productions, we have been blessed with two production released on the same day. The first, formerly titled “Number One” an unfinished version of the newly released “Crack A Bottle”. It features 50 Cent and a rare verse from Dr. Dre. Compared to the leaked incomplete version, “Number One”, “Crack A Bottle” seems a bit more polished , and the CD quality audio vs. the Bootleg DJ-Shout-Out-Version probably helped.

Months ago, Dre said in a perfect world, he would like his album out by the end of 2008, and to nobody’s surprise the album was delayed yet again. By the looks of it now, Eminems album will be finished in January, and with about 2 months to promote it, we’ll see it released sometime in late February/early March. Assuming Dre stays on track with Detox after completing Eminem’s album, WestCoastFlow.com predicts an early Summer release of Detox followed by an Up In Smoke 2 Tour, which Bishop Lamont has already confirmed.

WestCoastFlow.com Aftermath calander prediction :

January 2009: 50 Cent releases “Before I Self Destruct”

March 2009: Eminem releases “Relapse”

June 2009: Dr. Dre releases Detox

July 2009: Up In Smoke 2 Tour

“Before I Self Destruct” has reportedly been pushed back again. The album move comes as 50 Cent was rushing to get his album finished for a December release. With the deadline approaching to secure advertising and retail placement for the album, the decision was made to move to a date in early 2009.

According to a statement from Interscope records, the rapper was feeling rushed to meet the initial release date of December 16, so a decision was made to push it back to early next year.

Despite all of this, and for further confusion, 50 was at UFC 91 last night in Las Vegas and in a quick interview with Joe Rogan, 50 Cent still claims the album will be released on December 9th.

More updates on the situation as it become available on WestCoastFlow.com

Yesterday on Eminem’s Sirius radio station Shade 45, Eminem took to the satellite airwaves to reveal that his new album will be called Relapse. The announcement came during an on-air party for Slim Shady’s upcoming book The Way I Am. No official word or press release pertaining to Relapse has been given, but following the radio announcement Em did play a new song called “I Need a Relapse.” Eminem also added that Dr. Dre produced the majority of the album because Em wanted to concentrate on the lyrics. As for the release date, Interscope/Aftermath are supposedly planning a “three-headed monster” as 50 Cent put it, with Fiddy’s own Before I Self Destruct out December 9th, followed by Relapse possibly before the end of the year and then Dr. Dre’s long-rumored Detox shortly after that. If Relapse ends up being a reality, it’ll be Marshall Mathers’ first full album since 2004’s Encore.

From Aftermath Music:

50 Cent exploded onto the music scene with his blockbuster debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Now he’s set to deliver his fourth major label album, Before I Self Destruct (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), on December 9, 2008.

For the explosive Before I Self Destruct, 50 Cent returned to working closely with Dr. Dre and Eminem as he did on his first album. But Before I Self Destruct is more than an album. The package also includes a DVD with an original, gritty, feature-length movie he wrote, directed and starred in. 50 Cent proves with Before I Self Destruct that no one on the hip-hop scene is more aggressive about putting the street on stage.

With Dr. Dre and Eminem each producing and guesting on tracks, and led by the club-friendly first single, “Get Up,” produced by Scott Storch, Before I Self Destruct is darker and harder than last year’s Curtis. 50 Cent wrote much of the album while he, as Curtis Jackson, was also penning the 90-minute film of the same name that would be his directorial debut.

The film Before I Self Destruct is a coming of age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother. When his dream of becoming a basketball player fails to materialize, he finds himself employed in a supermarket. After his mother is tragically gunned down, Clarence (played by Jackson) is consumed by revenge and takes up a life of crime in order to support his younger brother.

“My film captures the harsh realities that reflect so many communities today. There will be some who will greatly identify with the characters and the situations presented and then there will be others who may be shocked at the struggles that go on in the inner city,” states 50 Cent. “I made the film for both groups.”

Released just today from 50′s official website, is the trailer for 50 Cent’s directorial debut for the movie Before I Self Destruct, which shares the same release date and the same name as his next album.  The trailer looks like it’s going to be a low-budget straight to DVD film. The album and movie are scheduled to be released on December 9th.

50′s right-hand man Tony Yayo hinted that the G-Unit/Lil Wayne tour talked about several months ago might be resurrected.

While 50 is in the lab recording, he’s also contemplating a major outing. We was slated to do a 52-date tour, but our schedule got crazy, So I guess on Self Destruct, we should be doing a big tour. That’d be cool man, Lil Wayne is a big artist. I’d love to be on a tour with Lil Wayne. I actually spoke to Wayne a couple of months ago on the phone, him and Baby. They some cool n—as.

Get Up is 50 Cent’s first single off Before I Self Destruct! The production for the song is handled by Scott Storch, who provided other tracks for 50 such as Just a Lil’ Bit and Candy Shop. A solid first single which leaves me excited to see what else the album has in store for us.

Often times an artist promises a release date for an album, and the promise is broken, but the one true event that can confirm to fans that an album is within sight is a new single being released. This leaves me with confidence that Before I Self Destruct will be released in December as promised.

A statement by 50 Cent confirms that multiple tracks off the album will be produced by Dr. Dre.

“Dre sent over a bunch of beats, and we’re just going through them all, picking out who wants what. We already finished one joint and just started vocals on another. It’s gonna blow you away, I guarantee.”
